Cancellation Policy2.1 For Clients (Project Owners)Clients can cancel a project before it is awarded to a freelancer without any penalty.If a client cancels a project after awarding it to a freelancer but before work has started, the client may be eligible for a partial refund (excluding transaction fees).If the freelancer has already started working on the project, the client must negotiate cancellation terms with the freelancer. Refund eligibility will depend on the progress of the work.2.2 For FreelancersFreelancers can cancel a project before accepting the work without any penalty.If a freelancer cancels after starting the project, they may forfeit any payments due, and their account may be reviewed for policy violations.Repeated cancellations without valid reasons may lead to temporary or permanent suspension from the platform.3. Refund Policy3.1 Refund EligibilityRefunds are only applicable in the following cases:The freelancer fails to deliver the agreed-upon work within the deadline.The delivered work does not meet the minimum quality standards agreed upon in the project requirements.The freelancer is unresponsive for an extended period, leading to project failure.Fraudulent transactions or unauthorized payments (subject to verification).3.2 Non-Refundable SituationsRefunds will not be provided in the following cases:If the client has approved the work and released the payment.If the dissatisfaction is based on personal preference rather than failure to meet agreed requirements.If a client changes the project scope after the freelancer has started working.If funds have already been withdrawn by the freelancer.4. How to Request a Refund?If you believe you are eligible for a refund, follow these steps:Contact the Freelancer – Try to resolve the issue directly with the freelancer.Raise a Dispute – If the issue is not resolved, file a dispute via the Ofreelancer.com Resolution Center.Platform Review – Our team will review the dispute and determine the best course of action.Final Decision – Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days if approved.5.
